Hi, Tyson Farmer here with a quick list of fun classic "open chord only" songs that are great for beginner guitarists just learning their open chords.
FELLOW GUITAR TEACHERS (and students!): do you have any great open chord songs that you can add to this list? I would love to get a master list of these easy open chord songs so all the Lessonface teachers and students can use it as an ever-growing resource - weigh in with your faves!
Suggested guidelines:
-Capo songs are good as long as you note which capo position
-No bar chords please! However, song sections (like verse only, chorus only, etc) are OK if noted, since many songs have bars in only the bridge or chorus. The idea is to have a big menu to choose from so students can keep their practice fresh... ;-)
-Songs that use the B7 chord are fine since it's technically an open chord.

Shining Star by Earth Wind and Fire (ignore all 7s)
Hi, great list! I also often transpose songs that use bar chords so they are played with open chords only. Here my 2 cents:
Nice hack, Ernán! A simple capo addition opens up a whole list of songs that would have been otherwise too difficult for a beginner to play.
