About How To Play Guitar: The Fundamentals
Learn the foundational skills, so that you can play your favourite songs and make your own music. Music is just like any other language. Without knowing the A, B, C of English, you may struggle to communicate, even if you successfully learn to say “What's your name?”. Similarly, if you learn a song on the guitar without knowing the basics, you may struggle to change the key of the song, or learn a second song.
That’s why this class focuses on the fundamentals of guitar & music theory, so that you are well prepared to pick up any song, of any genre. It is an interactive class where you will apply everything you learn, within the class itself.
You’ll end the class with complete knowledge of the instrument, ability to play all notes on it, and a finger stretching exercise to build your strength & stamina.
The capacity for this class is 6 students.

It will be great if the student has:
1. Guitar (Electric / Acoustic)
2. For Electric Guitar: Amplifier / Plugin (Digital Software)
3. Pick
4. Tuner / Tuning App
5. Notebook & Pen for Note Taking
Class Goals
- 1. Complete instrument knowledge: Learn what each part of the guitar is called, & how & when to use it
- 2. Basics of music theory: Learn how to identify & play all notes on the guitar
- 3. Finger stretching exercise: Learn an exercise to build strength and stamina in your fingers
- 4. Q&A: Get your questions about guitar and guitar learning answered

1. Absolute beginners: No prior knowledge or playing experience is required.
2. Beginners: Some playing experience, and want to learn the basics.
Intermediate players are welcome too.
