FTF - First Time Fingerstyle
About FTF - First Time Fingerstyle
This course is designed to help you take your first steps into the world of Fingerstyle Guitar. It includes effective exercises that will give you a feel for what it takes. Playing with your fingers provides the power to control multiple voices independently, enabling you to create melodies and rhythms. You become the singer, the bass player, the drummer, and ultimately... the guitarist! Be aware of this!
THIS IS MADE FOR YOU
You need to break away from your usual arpeggio patterns over chord shapes, an inclination I've noticed among numerous students who disperse their guitar education across various resources lacking a cohesive methodology.
If performed well, these exercises will shake the foundation of your guitar knowledge, reconstructing it. They will pave the way for building a solo repertoire and provide you with the opportunity to work on your technique and musical style in detail later.
If you've never realized that the guitar can be played similarly to a piano, which handles melodies on the right hand and basses on the left, but with a vertical perspective, then this is going to be your First Time Fingerstyle.
Have fun!
