Danish Stars with "Dawn, The Stitching Coach"
Let Dawn, The Stitching Coach, teach you how to fold fabric strips into a patriotic star for Veteran's Day or, if you are already bingeing Christmas movies, use your favorite Christmas fabrics. This 1-hour class is simple enough for beginners yet fun for any crafting level.
This small group class is presented in collaboration with John C. Campbell Folk School and Lessonface. Students are invited to attend an optional Orientation and Closing Ceremony to connect with various online Folk School classes.
Class Materials
Students should provide:
1/2 yard cotton fabric in two or four different high contrast colors (fat quarters work great)
Rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat
Iron, pressing surface and starch
Scissors
Tweezers or bodkin
Pencil
Skill level: Beginner (must be able to pinch, fold and weave narrow fabric strips)
Pre-class work: Make four bias tape strips 2.5" wide by 18" long in two/four high contrast color fabrics. If you want to make more stars, you need four strips per star.

Refund Policy: To cancel an enrollment or request a refund, contact [email protected]. For 30+ days before, we refund 95%. Between 30 and 5 days, receive a 75% refund. No refunds within 5 days of class start date. Materials kit fees are non-refundable.
