About Vocal Performance Masterclass: Sing With Confidence
This interactive four-session vocal performance masterclass is designed for singers who want to strengthen their vocal technique, improve their performance skills, and gain confidence sharing their voice with others.
Each session features live coaching in a supportive and encouraging environment. Participants will have the opportunity to learn through both direct feedback and observation as we explore topics such as breath support, tone quality, resonance, registration, vocal freedom, diction, phrasing, expression, storytelling, stage presence, and audience connection. Students will discover how technical and artistic choices work together to create engaging, authentic performances.
Singers are welcome to bring songs from any style, including musical theatre, pop, contemporary, folk, worship, classical, jazz, and singer-songwriter repertoire. Whether you are preparing for auditions, performances, competitions, recordings, or simply looking to grow as a vocalist, this class offers valuable coaching and practical tools that can be applied immediately to your singing.
Students who wish to perform may sign up for a coaching slot on a first-come, first-served basis before each session. Performers will receive individualized feedback on both vocal technique and performance skills. Participants who choose not to perform, or who attend as observers, will still benefit from hearing a variety of singers receive coaching and learning how the concepts apply to their own voices.
This class is ideal for singers of all ages who enjoy learning in a collaborative environment and want to become more confident, expressive, and technically skilled performers.
The capacity for this class is 25 students.
Class Goals
- **Goal 1:Strengthen vocal technique through individualized coaching and observation of other singers, improving breath support, tone quality, vocal freedom, resonance, and overall vocal efficiency.
- **Goal 2:Build confidence performing in front of others by developing stronger communication, expression, stage presence, and audience connection.
- **Goal 3:Apply both technical and performance skills to songs from a variety of musical styles, creating more expressive, confident, and compelling performances.
