Lessonface's Coronavirus Response

In response to the coronavirus and the rapid shift to online learning that's happening as a result, Lessonface has made some changes to our operations:

We are rolling out a new series of classes, the GO Series, aimed to bring together students and teachers in a super-accessible way. Read more about those classes here.

For teachers, we've dropped our referral fee for private lessons from the already quite reasonable 7.5% to 4%. This means that 1:1 lessons booked with any student that a teacher refers to Lessonface will only be charged a 4% fee from us -- this includes the credit card processing fee and our other marginal costs, so is as low as we can go. 

To make sure teachers currently joining are not delayed in connecting with their students, we're stepping up our onboarding processes for new teachers. We will mark teacher profiles "private" within the same day that they are submitted to us, meaning that the teacher can start teaching their own students right away, and will be assessing the new profiles as quickly as we can for becoming "featured" Lessonface teachers. Setting up teaching profiles on Lessonface is free (and always has been).
