Lessonface Presents: Conversations with MET Orchestra Musicians

Curious what it’s like to be a professional musician?  Would you like to get a glimpse into their musical insights, career stories, and thoughts on music education?

Lessonface is hosting a series free online events with MET Orchestra Musicians.  These one-hour live events are friendly and informal conversations between professional performers and educators.  Students, teachers, and music enthusiasts are invited to attend.  After a conversation and interview between the two guests, attendees can ask questions in the chat.

The series will begin this Sunday, September 19th, 3pm ET / 12pm PT, as Lessonface presents MET Orchestra Violinist Wen Qian.

Lessonface violin instructor Miguel Ramirez will interview Wen Qian, Acting Assistant Concertmaster of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra in New York City.  Miguel Ramirez specializes in training students for successful entry into top college music schools and youth orchestras.  Wen Qian has been a member of the first violin section of the MET Orchestra since 1997, where she currently serves as Acting Assistant Concertmaster. As an educator, Wen teaches violin at Mannes School of Music where she has served on the College Division Faculty for over 20 years.
