If you haven't read TAB before, check out these two handouts before class.
'Guitar Basics for Beginners' has a diagram of the left hand finger numbers and right hand. Just read the first page of this one, you don't need the rest of the material.
'Intro to TAB' is a simple overview of TAB, and a good supplement to the first handout.
