Major Updates and a Fresh Welcome to Lessonface

We are pleased to announce a major step forward with our platform this week. Lessonface account dashboards, lessons, messages, and contacts all received a major overhaul. The updates are in our beta version, so that we can collect feedback from our users and minimize any lesson disruption that the changes might inadvertently cause.
Lessonface has been operating independently for twelve years, as of the end of August. We're incredibly proud of how the platform has grown in these dozen years. These new updates are the result of a ton of excellent work by our team, as well as insightful feedback from our teacher and student community. Users on Lessonface know that we continuously update our platform in small ways, but big change comes slowly and deliberately.
Teachers new to Lessonface can learn about our operations and how to create a profile here.
Students can sign up anywhere on the site through the top right hand button. If you are coming on the invitation of an instructor, use their referral link so we can insure you are marked accordingly in the system.
We welcome students and teachers to try out the updates and to let us know what you think via the feedback form that should appear on the right hand side of the pages. To try the beta, you can click here (you'll need to be logged into Lessonface for the link to work).
If anyone has questions or needs help, please reach out to us at [email protected]. We hope to see you soon!

Glad to discover Lessonface as I transition from TakeLessons
Hi Claire & team,
I started teaching music over forty years ago, in many different contexts - through private lessons in my home studio and online, in community centers, as a classroom teacher in public and private schools and community colleges. Since 2018 I've been teaching through TakeLessons, and while it's had its ups and downs particularly through the Microsoft acquisition, the platform has worked well for me and I'm sorry to see it shut down.
Looking for viable alternatives, I learned of Lessonface through a Facebook group, and I'm optimistic about its potential. I'm especially interested to know whether you will be able to import the 50+ positive reviews I've collected on TakeLessons, as these have helped me connect with students looking for what I have to offer. You can see my profile at
https://takelessons.com/profile/sean-s46
(I also have a number of review posted on my Google Business profile and my Facebook pages, though I haven't tried as hard to encourage students to post reviews there.)
I'm seriously considering bringing all my current students over to your platform, and continuing to grow my clientele here.
Please let me know if there are any additional steps I should take to set up my profile on the platform.
Sincerely,
Sean Shea

Thanks for your comment, Sean!
Hi Sean,
Thanks for reaching out. Hope you find Lessonface amenable for your instruction going forward. If you haven't already, we're asking for teachers joining from TakeLessons to send their TakeLessons profile links to [email protected] as well as creating a profile on Lessonface to help us fast-track your onboarding here. I'll send y'all both an email so we can be in touch about all this directly.
Best,
Claire
