Write an Article at Lessonface

Approved teachers on Lessonface are invited to participate in our Articles Program. Articles that provide insight and expertise help build trust with readers, and invite them to learn more from the expert author. Articles that are well-written and formatted for publication are likely to be published around Lessonface, including, for a time, on the homepage of the website, on the topic pages of the website, as well as in our social channels and newsletters.

How to Participate

Before writing an article, you must propose your topic by emailing us at [email protected] with a summary of what you plan to cover. Each teacher may submit one article per quarter. Topics should relate to your subject area and be of interest to learners.

Length & Content

Articles should be at least 500 words.
Include a link to your Lessonface profile so students can find you and book lessons. If you don’t include it, we may add it at the end of the article.
You may link to Lessonface pages such as private lessons, group classes, self-paced courses, or downloadable materials.
Articles must be original and reflect your expertise and experience. Students are looking for insightful, human-written content. AI may be used to assist in editing, but the article should ultimately reflect your knowledge and perspective. If you're using AI for drafting or more than half of the content creation, it should be disclosed.

Graphics & Multimedia

Including at least one header graphic will increase your article’s appeal and increase the chances we will share it more widely. You may also submit original photos or videos. If you don’t provide graphics, we may create them for you. If you have ideas for visuals but are not able to create them, please share your notes with us.

Visibility & Engagement

Published articles appear for a time on the Lessonface homepage in the Articles and Announcements section, which is visible on desktop browsers. As a highly trafficked site, Lessonface’s homepage receives the most new visitors, making articles a great way to showcase your expertise and promote your teaching.
Articles that are associated with your area of expertise may be listed on the relevant topic pages. For instance, an article on Singing may appear on the Singing topic page, the Voice topic page, the Opera topic page, and other related topics in the Blog Articles section.
We may share articles across Lessonface’s social media channels and newsletters and encourage you to share them as well.
Articles will have comments enabled. We encourage you to participate in the discussion.
The more shareable your article, the more views it may get, helping you reach more students.

Other Notes

There is currently no fee to post articles on Lessonface.
Contributors may submit one article per quarter.
There is no guarantee that every proposed article will be published, or that a specific timeline will be followed, but we strive to respond promptly and provide feedback.
We may edit your article for grammar or clarity, and you will have the opportunity to review edits before publication.
By submitting an article, you are giving Lessonface permission to post it, with authorship attributed to you (which links to your teaching profile). If you ask us to remove your article later, we will do so as promptly as we are able.
