I can't recommend Tom highly enough. I have been taking weekly lessons from him for many months now and I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone. Although my lessons have been on the guitar, his knowledge of music and song theory in general (above and beyond the guitar) have been an amazing help. His teaching and encouragement helped get me out and start playing with others and even to start picking up a few gigs. If you are looking for a fantastic teacher (and person), look no further. Tom is amazing. 5 STARS!!!!

A very thoughtful and dedicated teacher. Even with the time difference, she always tries to work around our schedule. She gives honest and objective feedback and focuses on building a strong foundation step by step. She is patient, encouraging, and helps my child make steady progress. Highly recommend!
I've been taking guitar lessons with Tom for over a year, and he has been an excellent teacher and a great guide as I've learned to play. Tom has a strong background in music and a depth of knowledge that he does a great job tailoring to where I am as a student. He can explain concepts in a way that makes sense at my current level, but if something sparks my curiosity, he's also able to go much deeper and explore the topic with me. I really appreciate that balance. Learning an instrument has been challenging for me, and I'm often harder on myself than I probably need to be about where I think I should be or how I think I should be playing. Tom does a great job of pushing me to continue improving while also supporting me when I'm struggling. I consistently leave my lessons feeling better — not just about my progress with guitar, but generally about myself and my day. That's something I didn't necessarily expect when I started taking lessons, but it has become one of the things I value most about them. Learning guitar isn't a linear process, and having a teacher who understands that has made a big difference for me. Tom has been a great guide in helping me continue to improve while making the process enjoyable. After more than a year of lessons, I really appreciate not only how much I've learned, but also how much I look forward to the time I spend learning with him. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and supportive guitar teacher.
Another fantastic lesson with Gustavo! I really appreciate how he mixes a small amount of the often hard work of theory, scales, triads, and key signatures with a BIG chunk of fun playing to actual music! He supplied me with a handful of inspirational backing tracks that have helped my playing so much, and have made practicing fun. Really loving being one of Gustavo's students! I only wish I had started with him earlier :(
I couldn’t have asked for a better first guitar teacher for my son! Collin was incredibly patient, encouraging, and great at making lessons fun and engaging. As a first-time guitar student, my son progressed so quickly, and I was amazed by how much he learned in such a short time. Most importantly, my son developed such a great rapport with Collin and genuinely looked forward to his lessons each week. Collin created a comfortable environment where my son felt confident learning, asking questions, and challenging himself. I’m so grateful for the positive start Collin gave my son with guitar and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent, encouraging, and talented teacher!
Tanios is a very patient teacher. He is not only teaching me how to play the Oud but also how to convey the spirit of the instrument. this is something i was particularly interested in so am glad i am able to learn from a teacher who goes deeper into the music than just musical notes. He is also an excellent player who can bring a piece alive with excellent ornamentation and is sharing the tips and tricks with me. I would definitely recommend him as a Oud teacher.

What is Lessonface?
How do online Music lessons work?
What is the best method for learning Music ?
We're biased, of course, but at Lessonface we believe the best way to learn Music is through one-on-one lessons. Personalized instruction means your teacher can tailor every lesson to your goals, learning style, and skill level. Online group classes can also be a great way to make learning fun and social. Learning Music online makes it easy to stay consistent, which is essential to steady progress.
There are plenty of apps and YouTube videos out there to help with learning Music, but most teachers agree that those resources work best as supplements to, not replacements for, one-on-one instruction. A skilled Music teacher can identify bad habits before they become ingrained, help you focus on what matters most, and solve problems as soon as they arise, often saving you months of frustration and wasted practice time. The bottom line? A real teacher accelerates your progress and keeps you on the right path from day one.
How do I find the best teacher for me for Music lessons?
