I can't recommend Tom highly enough. I have been taking weekly lessons from him for many months now and I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone. Although my lessons have been on the guitar, his knowledge of music and song theory in general (above and beyond the guitar) have been an amazing help. I've been taking guitar lessons with Tom for over a year, and he has been an excellent teacher and a great guide as I've learned to play. Tom has a strong background in music and a depth of knowledge that he does a great job tailoring to where I am as a student. He can explain concepts in a way that makes sense at my current level, but if something sparks my curiosity, he's also able to go much deeper and explore the topic with me. I really appreciate that balance. Learning an instrument has been challenging for me, and I'm often harder on myself than I probably need to be about where I think I should be or how I think I should be playing. Tom does a great job of pushing me to continue improving while also supporting me when I'm struggling. I consistently leave my lessons feeling better — not just about my progress with guitar, but generally about myself and my day. That's something I didn't necessarily expect when I started taking lessons, but it has become one of the things I value most about them. Learning guitar isn't a linear process, and having a teacher who understands that has made a big difference for me. Tom has been a great guide in helping me continue to improve while making the process enjoyable. After more than a year of lessons, I really appreciate not only how much I've learned, but also how much I look forward to the time I spend learning with him. I couldn’t have asked for a better first guitar teacher for my son! Collin was incredibly patient, encouraging, and great at making lessons fun and engaging. Tanios is a very patient teacher. He is not only teaching me how to play the Oud but also how to convey the spirit of the instrument. this is something i was particularly interested in so am glad i am able to learn from a teacher who goes deeper into the music than just musical notes. He is also an excellent player who can bring a piece alive with excellent ornamentation and is sharing the tips and tricks with me. I would definitely recommend him as a Oud teacher.

What is Lessonface?
Lessonface is a Public Benefit Corporation operating since 2012 whose purpose is to connect students with great teachers for music, language, and arts lessons. Teachers on Lessonface set their own rates and profiles, and students can select their ideal teachers based on their background, teaching style, rates, and schedule.
How do online Music lessons work?
Online lessons are effective, affordable, and accessible. Lessonface qualifies teachers in over 300 music, language, and arts subjects, including Music. Students can browse teachers' profiles, send them messages, and book lessons securely through Lessonface. Lessons happen via Zoom links that are securely generated for each lesson, and can be easily recorded by the teacher. Recordings, notes, and attachments can all be accessed from within the Lessonface dashboard. Lessons can be booked one at a time, in packages, or by subscription to save a spot on the teacher's calendar. Lessonface hosts recitals, open mics, group classes, and self-paced courses too. Registering an account is free so it's easy to get started reaching out to find your ideal instructor. Contact us with any further questions!

How much do Music lessons cost?
Music teachers on Lessonface set their own rates. Rates are displayed on the teachers' profile pages and in the checkout process prior to booking. Teachers may choose to change their rates for new bookings, and students will always be notified prior to making payment. The average paid for a Music lesson on Lessonface in the past 12 months was $34.65. Some Music teachers offer a free trial lesson to new students, which are not factored into the average prices.
How does payment work for Music lessons?
There is no fee until you book your first paid lesson. Many teachers offer free trial lessons. Students can opt to book one a time, or purchase lesson packages or subscriptions for scheduling convenience, and, depending on the teachers, a discount. Payment can be made by credit card or Paypal. Lessons booked with a subscription are pre-paid three days before the end of the month for lessons that are scheduled for the following month. Subscription payments can only be made by credit card (not Paypal). Teachers receive their payment after the lesson has been completed.
