About the Founders
Lessonface is thriving today due to the early support and continued efforts of our teachers, engineers, marketers, advisors, investors, and especially music students! We're really thankful to be working with such talented people and couldn't be more excited about where Lessonface is headed. - Claire & Ashford

Claire Cunningham
Claire has boundless enthusiasm for learning, music, and building fair and good businesses. Lessonface is the third successful company she has created since graduating with a degree in history from the College of Charleston in 2001, and the first since graduating from MIT with an MBA in 2009. She is pictured here performing as Mozart in Ms. Barnette's English Class, 1992. This get-up was for a book report on a biography. It may demonstrate Claire's penchant for overdelivery, which she is now channeling into creating an awesome teacher and student experience at Lessonface.
Ashford Tucker
An IP attorney, music lover, and enthusiastic guitarist, Ashford handles business development projects and legal matters. Also an alum of the College of Charleston, his career has spanned being a professional musician, writer, and editor, and, since graduating from Vanderbilt with a JD and being admitted to the NY Bar in 2009, an attorney. He is pictured playing a Bo Diddley cover at Union Pool, Brooklyn, 2012. He just got a new guitar with a b-bender which he can't put down, other than to pick up his banjo.
