Home Kitchen Brewing Weekend

Home Kitchen Brewing Weekend with Nick Kelischek

It’s cold out there. Let’s brew up a few small-batch beers from the comfort of your home kitchen. A 6-quart stockpot and a 1-gallon jug can be the foundation of your new hobby. We will be stripping down the more specialized outdoor homebrew production process to keep things manageable for beer lovers and cozy kitchen crafters. We will also geek out and do some talking and tasting around the wide world of beer.

The capacity for this class is 12 students. This class is presented in collaboration with the John C. Campbell Folk School. There will be an optional Orientation and Closing Ceremony hosted from the Folk School campus that students can attend online.

Nick Kelischek

Nick is perhaps Brasstown, North Carolina's premier beerlanthropist*. He loves to share his product with family, friends, and fellow Folk School dancers. "You mean I'm actually going to get paid to talk about making beer?" asked Nick quizzically when approached about teaching.
