Larry plays over 20 hand percussion/drum instruments, including conga, bongos, djembe, cajon, talking drum, doumbek, frame drums (riq pandeiro tar) maracas, castanets, tambourine, timbales, orchestral/symphonic snare drum. As a teacher, Larry has hosted/directed clinics on cajon, frame drums, drum set and general hand percussion for 10 years.As a student Larry has studied under the best players/teachers there are. Some of those include, Luis Conte, Alex Acuna, Roy Burns, Dan Greco, Tommy Brechtlein, Ali Salaaf, as well as tabla masters Abhijit Banjeree and Jyoti Prakash. Additionally Larry has dedicated years of research to several ethnic styles of music and percussion. Some of those include the South Indian Carnatic system, Ghanian Drum Gahu, Cuban quinto phrasing and concepts as well as odd meter and polymetric/polyrhythmic methods.
Larry is a freelance live performance and recording artist with over 350 TV and film credits, 35 CD/Album credits, and countless live performances.
HOW IT WORKS
These are live classes that are taught from Larry's home studio. Students attend over the Lessonface high performing video conference platform. Students can connect to the online platform using a tablet or computer with reliable internet. The live sessions are recorded so that all enrolled students and auditors can review the class sessions following the live class. Class recordings will be available for viewing within 48 hours of the live class. PRIVATE LESSON OPTION
Students may also sign up may sign up for 30 minute online 1-on-1 lessons with Larry. The private lessons must be scheduled within three months of the purchase date. View Larry's private teaching calendar.

Four sessions will be offered. The workshops will run from 5:00-6:00 pm Eastern Standard Time on Saturdays.

This is an introductory course meant for beginners.
Students will need to have access to the instrument(s) for the class(es) for which they are enrolling.
