Looper Pedal "Sandbox" Sessions

About Looper Pedal "Sandbox" Sessions

Do you own a looper pedal that has been collecting dust in the drawer? Would you like to start using it to get better at making music alone or with others? Do you like being challenged creatively and getting genuine constructive feedback?

The Looper Pedal "Sandbox" Sessions are open-form classes that will change and adapt to fit the group's creative needs on any given week. Pop in for an occasional session to observe, learn, and play, or subscribe weekly to get to know other folks who like to make music the way you do too. There are opportunities for collaboration and creativity, as well as technically challenging musical puzzles and tasks designed to help you break out of your habits and practice routines.

If you are unsure of how to use your looper pedal functions, or simply want a refresher course before jumping in, I would highly recommend signing up for the introductory "Looper Pedal Studies for Guitar" before enrolling in the "Sandbox" Sessions. I am happy to meet with you for a free 15 minute assessment if you have questions! This class is not exclusively limited to guitar, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you play something else and are interested.

This class is limited to 12 students.

Class Goals

  • Goal 1: Utilize the looper pedal as a practice tool to identify, target, and improve gaps in your playing.
  • Goal 2: Compose music and learn general strategies for creativity and expression.
  • Goal 3: Solve weekly musical puzzles and challenges to improve your ability to "see and hear the fretboard."
  • Goal 4: Gain a larger perspective of the creative process and make musical connections.
  • Goal 5: Share creative works in a friendly/safe environment and get constructive feedback.
