Swatching for Fair lsle

About Swatching for Fair lsle

Swatching is key to a successful knitting project. Planning and practice are critical to knitting with confidence. Learn just how magical swatching can be! Fair Isle knitting projects can be daunting unless you tackle them one bit at a time. In this class we examine colors in a new way and deal with the gauge issue in an easily digestible manner. Although simple to knit, there are many facets to Fair Isle knitting that will be addressed in this class. Topics covered include: how large a swatch should be, uses for a swatch, what a swatch tells us, interplay of color, working with color values, how to test colors without reknitting the entire swatch, adjusting stitch and row counts, and knowing when to stop swatching and start knitting.
