About Thinking With Their Hands – Changing The World Of Children With Yarn

Elizabeth Okeyele-Olatunji

    Elizabeth is known for her support and encouragement of children by teaching them to turn their yarn dreams into reality. In 2012, she started her organization “Tunnizze Creation” in Lagos, Nigeria with the goal of teaching children to think with their hands! Elizabeth has a background in textile technology and is certified by the Craft Yarn Council as a Level 1 and 2 knitting teacher. She enjoys nurturing creativity in children. She and her team have set a goal to reach 20000 African children with the skills of knitting and crochet. She is the author of a knitting book called, KnittingABC, 22 Patterns for the Young to Explore.

    Elizabeth freelances as an educational consultant for Haffar industries Limited. She volunteers and loves to speak to and about children, handwork, creativity and crafts. She recently concluded her professional diploma in education and enjoys her scholarship opportunity with Craft Alliances Industry.
