About Beginning Machine Knitting
So you bought a knitting machine - how on earth do you going about making it “work”? It seems intimidating I know, and yes it’s technically machinery, but so is a washing machine and you do laundry every week, right? If you are completely new to knitting machines or just want a thorough refresher, this class will help you get up and going on your MK. I will be showing you the parts of a knitting machine, how knitting machine works, basic techniques to get you started: a couple of cast ons, plain knitting, increases and decreases, yarn overs (eyelets), and a couple of ways to bind off.
This class is for beginner machine knitters. You do not need to know anything about machine knitting to take this class. You must bring a working machine to this class. There is another class for people who want to rent a machine.

Crystal Lawrence has been knitting since her Grannie taught her when she was 11. She has always been fascinated by the next challenge around the corner and when her friend and owner of a LYS offered to sell her a knitting machine 12 years ago she was hooked. Almost everything she has learned for MK has come from experimentation, hand knitting know-how, and vintage books.
