Birth of an Art Yarn
About Birth of an Art Yarn
Get ready for three hours of fiber-filled fun in this creative core spinning adventure! You'll learn how to add all kinds of fabulous flair to your yarn—think beads, sequins, commercial yarn for auto-wrapping, in-line lock spinning, and more—all while spinning dreamy hand-carded art batts.
Once your yarn is fabulously funky, we’ll Chain Ply it into a one-of-a-kind, ready-to-wear “neck garland” that shows off your new skills. You’ll leave with a mini skein of handmade art yarn and a heart full of fiber joy!
What to Bring:

*Your stash of treasures: beads, buttons, sequins, ribbons, fabric scraps—anything fun and funky!
*Your spinning wheel. (A larger orifice is helpful, but not required)

Katelyn Dunn
Katelyn Dunn fell in love with fiber art at just 11 years old when she first picked up a pair of knitting needles. As she puts it, “It ‘spun’ out of control from there!” What started as a curious hobby quickly grew into a passion. Katelyn became captivated by the entire fiber process—from fleece to finished piece—and dove headfirst into learning everything she could.
