Charkha Spinning
About Charkha Spinning
Cotton spinning is for everyone! Learn some history of this fascinating Indian instrument while we practice spinning on a spindle tip to create a strong fine yarn for weaving or knitting. I value continuing the tradition of handspinning and weaving, expanding my personal connection with history as well as future artists. I love teaching people of all ages the joys of creating fiber art.If you do not have access to a charkha please email the instructor upon registration so that arrangement might be possible for a loaner during class time. Every effort will be made to accommodate those without charkhas. Sharing may be necessary.
