Jump in with a crash course in color theory—explore rich blends, bold contrasts, and clever tricks to make colors pop. Then, create Magic Balls that lock in planned color transitions for effortless, repeatable spinning.
Arrange colors for smooth ombrés, bold stripes, and controlled shifts. Experiment with fractals, measured stripes, and subtle transitions—or learn how to avoid striping altogether. Watch how small choices transform the final yarn, turning solid colors into stunning gradients, dynamic stripes, and beautifully planned shifts.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have Magic Balls ready to spin into gorgeous, predictable yarn.
The capacity for this class is 15 students.
Materials, Equipment, and Supplies the Student Must Bring to Class
Students need to bring medium-cloth hand cards. If you want to spin in class, bring your spinning device: wheel, spindle, or e-spinner.
