Natural Ecoprinting on SIlk and Wool
About Natural Ecoprinting on SIlk and Wool
Join us for a workshop on creating stunning natural plant designs on silk and wool! In this ecoprinting workshop (also known as botanical printing), you’ll learn how to collect leaves, plants, and flowers to imprint their images directly onto fibers. Students will explore techniques for crafting beautiful, nature-inspired designs and discover how mordants affect protein fibers.
By the end of the session, you’ll take home your own ecoprinted hemmed silk and unhemmed wool scarves, along with the skills to continue ecoprinting using resources from nature. Experience the beauty of this natural and sustainable art form!
The capacity for this class is 16 students.
