Zoom Speaker and Microphone Test

Testing Your Speaker and Microphone on Zoom

Zoom offers a convenient tool for troubleshooting speaker and microphone issues during your session.

Check out how to access the "Test Speaker and Microphone..." functionality below.

Lessonface users can test these settings on the Video Test Room. Don't have a free Lessonface account yet? Sign up here

1 - Audio Up-Arrow

Click the up-arrow next to the microphone on the Zoom meeting.
If this option is not available, make sure to Join Audio.

2 - Test

Select the "Test Speaker & Microphone..." option.

3 - Speaker

Zoom will play a sound and you can confirm if you hear it, or allow Zoom to test a different speaker by clicking "No, Try Another Speaker".

4 - Microphone

Zoom will ask you to speak and pause, and will play it back to you. If you hear yourself, that means the right microphone device is selected, and you should be good to go!

If not, click "No, Try Another Microphone" and Zoom will switch between the different microphones available.

5 - All set!

After confirming you can hear yourself, that means that Zoom is able to receive and deliver audio to your meeting.

No luck just yet? Try leaving and joining the meeting again, restarting Zoom, or restarting your device. Feel free to contact Lessonface Support if you have any questions!

- Go to your Dashboard to view your updated lesson schedule and messages.
