Have you been thinking about starting to learn the violin but aren’t sure where to begin? Then welcome to my course! :)
In this beginner-friendly course, I’ll guide you through the first steps of your violin journey. We’ll get to know the instrument, learn how to hold the violin and bow comfortably, and even make your very first sounds together.
My goal is to help you feel confident and excited about learning. Starting something new can feel overwhelming, so I’ll explain everything step by step in an encouraging way throughout this 6-week program.
You don’t need any previous experience; just your curiosity and a willingness to learn. By the end of the course, you’ll have a solid foundation and a clear understanding of what your next steps should be.

* A shoulder rest (optional)

Class Goals
- *Week 1 – Introduction to the Violin
Getting to know your instrument and everything you’ll need to begin. - *Week 2 – Finding a Comfortable Playing Position
Learning proper posture, violin hold, and how to feel relaxed while playing. - *Week 3 – Getting to Know the Bow
Developing a natural bow hold and understanding basic bow movement. - *Week 4 – Making Your First Sounds
Playing on the open strings with confidence and learning basic bow control. - *Week 5 – Building a Beautiful Sound
Improving bow control, tone quality, and developing good playing habits. - *Week 6 – Taking the Next Step
Introducing the left hand, reviewing everything you’ve learned, and preparing for your first notes.

The class will meet for six weekly 1-hour live online sessions.
