Facebook Engagement

Social media can be a powerful tool for creating a following for your online teaching studio. Use this step-by-step guide to enhance your reach and ensure that students worldwide are checking you out!

Facebook

Capitalize on Lessonface's presence on Facebook by advertising and starting discussion on the Lessonface page. It takes three easy steps:

Step 1:

Like Lessonface on Facebook

Head to Lessonface's page on Facebook and like/follow Lessonface.

Step 2:

Copy and paste your instructor profile url

Start a new post on your timeline and paste your Lessonface page's url into posting box. Facebook will automatically generate an image and link to your instructor profile page.

Once Facebook has generated the link, you can remove the url text but the link will remain.

Step 3:

Write your post and tag Lessonface

Write your post. Somewhere in the text, be sure to tag Lessonface*. Unsure what to write? Use these examples:

"I'm teaching live, online violin lessons at @lessonface. Check out my profile page to sign up for one-on-one instruction. Uncertain about it? Schedule a free 15-minute trial!"

"If jazz flute is your thing, I'm going to be teaching a one-time master class online at @lessonface - September 9, 8:00 pm."

*Not sure how to tag? We got you covered. When you're typing your post, type "@lessonface". This should display a list of everyone that you follow with a similar name. Select Lessonface from this list.

What's next?

Keep posting!

Each time you have a performance, a new recording, or are just proud of something you've accomplished musically, post about it on your timeline and share it with your students! When should you post? Any time you have something you want to share! See some examples below:

New performance or recording
"Hey, @lessonface New Yorkers, I'll be performing at Alice Tulley Hall on October 17, 7:30 pm. If you like jazz flute, you'll love this!"

"I'll be at Amoeba Music on Sept. 5 signing copies of my new LP. Would be great to see some @lessonface Angelinos there!"

Other news
"Has anyone at @lessonface heard the new Vampire Weekend album? The piano in "Step" gets me every time!"
