About Drawing a Portrait
Beginners and intermediate artists are welcome. Learn basic proportions for drawing the human face. We will build quick proportional rules to work from, that will help us achieve a likeness, and the best way to shade skin tone, building three-dimensionality to better render facial features.

Adults
This online workshop can be accessed with a Lessonface Pass, which is $29/month, or for $30 for the workshop alone.
When
Single session on Tuesday, April 26, at 8 pm ET | 5 pm PT.
Enrolled students receive 14-day access to the video recording of the class.
How It Works
Students can connect to the online platform using a tablet or computer with reliable internet. To actively participate online students also need a webcam with microphone. The class is covered by the Lessonface Guarantee.

Allison Maletz
Allison Maletz is a contemporary large-scale watercolor and mixed media artist. She received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and her MFA from the Slade School of Fine Art, London. She has taught people from age 8-80 and currently leads watercolor, drawing, illustration and professional practices for artists classes.

Loved this class! Enjoyed how it was a longer speciality class, Allison was very clear and clearly well versed in her craft. She took questions mid class even when she was unsure if we would make it through all the material, and we still did sail through it all with her patient and kind instruction. Allison is an amazing teacher! I'm so impressed with what she taught me as a beginner in my very first drawing/art class. I never thought I could draw anything that would look 3D or realistic, but she offers fantastic step-by-step guidance, and it turns out with her instruction I can do a lot more than I thought!
