About Reading Sheet Music for Beginners!
Have you ever found yourself wondering what reading sheet music could do to move you along your musical journey? Then you are in the right place! This class allows students to either gain a new understanding, or refresh forgotten knowledge about the ways we musicians communicate to one another through the staff! You will learn how to recognize note names, note values, the various markings that are commonly seen across many genres, and much, much more.
Materials such as handouts and flashcards will be provided in class and on this page so that everyone can learn at their own pace. Additionally, there will be the opportunity to either play or sing through small passages of familiar songs to practice putting your new skills to work!

Single 90-minute session on Tuesday, September 12, at 5 pm ET | 2 pm PT | 21:00 UTC.
Enroll before August 1 for the early tuition rate. The seminar fee will increase to $45 at the beginning of August.
Enrolled students receive lifetime access to the video recording of the class.
How It Works

You can log into your Lessonface dashboard to access class materials, communicate with your instructor, join the live Zoom session, and access the class recordings and chat transcript afterward. First off, I will start with the teacher "Aubrey Lauren". Aubrey has fostered a safe and encouraging environment that is still challenging enough to engage the spirit of like minded musicians. Throughout the time spent in class, it became clear that Aubrey has a passion to teach and actively pays attention to the performances of her students. Lastly, each student was kind respectful and couragous no doubt due in part to the order Aubrey has facilitated.

Great way to drum up a little holiday cheer and practice performing in front of an audience! Haven't been able to perform in forever, and the Holiday Karaoke Party was a no-stress way to get back into singing. Online format makes it easy to make the audience disappear (minimize the window!) so you don't feel like all eyes are on you. Really helps with the nerves and getting more comfortable performing again. Looking forward to the next one!
