Introducing the Ace!

Hi from the LessonAce

As part of our ongoing quest to make more amazing music teachers more accessible to you, we're delighted to introduce you to a couple of new site features, including an especially fun one. Please meet the Lesson Ace. The Lesson Ace character was created by a wonderful set of artists who hail from Madrid, and is meant to exemplify our goal to help you 'Ace' your lesson. And that the teachers you'll find on LessonFace are all Aces at teaching. And that you will with time and practice (and expert instruction) also become an Ace. It's multifaceted.

The Lesson Ace debuts on the site introducing two key features to the music lessons process:

  1. Making matches
  2. Guiding goalsetting

Our primary purpose on LessonFace is to put students directly in contact with their ideal teachers. In fact, if you're a frequent visitor, you may notice that we've updated the teacher contact pages and the look and feel of the teacher listings.* But we also know that sometimes students are not ready to choose themselves or aren't ready at all to take the step of setting up a lesson. We understand - the teachers on LessonFace are all so fantastic it can be difficult to decide between them. And thinking about the steps of picking up a musical instrument before actually doing it is only natural, so goal setting may be the most helpful step for people at the beginning of their musical journey. Either way, the Lesson Ace is here to help!

You may have also noticed that we have a new system of filters on the site, thanks to our crack development team. These are meant to help students hone in on the best teacher more simply. We'll continue to tweak these - please let us know if you have feedback on the way they operate.

*And there are more changes coming down the pipeline so stay tuned!
