Online Lessons & Classes for Kids

online lessons and classes for kids

Looking for fun learning opportunities to bring in the new school year?

Virtual lessons and group classes are a terrific avenue to pursue from the comfort of your own home.  Your child will love learning from Lessonface’s enthusiastic, highly qualified teachers of music, language, and arts. Private lessons are available in all subjects; just select the ‘Teaches Kids’ filter after you enter your lesson subject for private lessons, for example "violin" or "banjo".  Group classes for kids range from subjects like Jazz Piano and Music for Cartoons to Beatboxing, and Musical Theatre.  Keep reading for our current group class schedule for kids and free resources and tips for creating the best learning environment for your child.

Private Lessons

If your child shows serious interest in a particular subject or instrument and wants to develop their skills with individualized guidance, private lessons are the way to go.  Students enrolling in private lessons should be able to sit calmly and focus for thirty minutes.  Lessons in many subjects and instruments require students to complete assignments or practice between classes. Depending on the students’ independence and maturity, parents may need to be involved in the practice process.  Choosing the right teacher for your child is important, so read teachers’ profiles carefully and reach out to them if you have questions.  You can find more advice on choosing a music teacher for your child here.

Group Classes for Kids

If your child needs a fun social activity and a break from the pressures of school and homework, group classes provide the perfect environment.  Group classes are great for young learners who want to explore music, languages, and performing arts, but aren’t sure exactly where their interests lie. The collaborative, high-energy environment engages kids who are excited to learn but have trouble sitting still for one-on-one instruction. Kids’ group classes at Lessonface are lively and interactive, and they’re a great way to let loose and have fun with peers after a long school day.
